Introducing Serial’s inaugural Syrah from the historic Bien Nacido Vineyard in the heart of the Santa Maria Valley. The region’s high elevations and strong Pacific Ocean breezes shape this wine’s distinctive character. A pale ruby-garnet hue in the glass, this wine opens with aromas of black raspberry, rhubarb, fresh thyme, and savory black olive. On the palate, flavors of black cherry and Italian strawberry are layered with a hint of dried herbs. Sleek and refined with an old-world charm, this wine features firm yet approachable tannins that remain soft on the palate. Its bright, high-toned acidity hints at excellent cellaring potential. Ultra limited, only 200 cases produced.
Vintage Notes: The 2021 growing season in Santa Barbara County was marked by mild, steady weather, creating ideal conditions for exceptional grape development. With minimal rain and no extreme heat, the season was nearly perfect from bud break to harvest. The smaller clusters and lower yields resulted in grapes with outstanding flavor and vibrant acidity.
