High in the rugged coastal mountains, the Adelaida District imparts intensity and tension to this Cabernet. Cassis, cranberry, and plum skin layer with sandalwood, cigar box, and mocha. Grainy tannins and broad fruit crescendos lift into a finish that is both elegant and powerful. Aged for 22 months in 45% new French oak. 139 cases produced.
Vintage Notes: The 2021 growing season was a winemaker’s dream in Paso Robles. Cool spring conditions yielded to warm and steady summer temperatures, followed by moderate weather into harvest. Patience was required as the grapes reached full maturity, and the payoff was worth the wait: excellent fruit structure and beautifully balanced flavors. A true standout vintage for Paso Robles.
